As per the previous article, WFS is now 9 years old.
That makes us the oldest walking football club in Spain!
Attached is the call to arms from Adam for the first game, to be played at Estadio Santa Maria in Elviria on 18th May 2017.
Its great to also note that several of those hardy souls from 9 years ago are still playing the game we all love, albeit a little rounder!.
Heres to many more years!
Happy birthday WFS! It was great that Adam started it and that it has been continued by many hardworking members ever since. I know Keith has stepped back from the organising now, but he has been a constant ambassador since the start, welcoming new players and making sure that some of the faster ones don’t leave the slower ones behind. The current organisers at the Poli are a tribute to how well the club is run. I never fail to be impressed with the number of new players coming along. Well done to all. I’m sorry that I don’t get along to many sessions, but I still enjoy seeing what’s going on and reading the reports.
